One of 38 Special Wishes, Werks1 Factory Slantnose cars built in 1983. Fashioned after Porsche's 1978 935 "Moby Dick". In the early 80's only a handful of these factory slope noses were produced each year in part due to the expense, nearly twice the cost of the original car. There were less than 500 of these models ever manufactured in the world. It wasn't until September of 1986 that the "Flachtbau" became an Official Factory Option for the 1987 model year after only 236 had been built since 1981.
This car had an extensive engine freshening and upgrade in April of 2002 including the following: an SC cam swap, Carrera timing chain tensioner, piston rings, rod bearings, ARP head studs, B&B Tri-Flo exhaust, lightweight carbon-kevlar clutch, powerflow intake, the heads were machined and twin-plugged, electromotive ignition installed, ARP rod bolts, intake manifold divider, 1 bar spring, extrude-honed intake manifold and short shift kit.
The original hybrid turbo and intercooler were retained. Approximate horsepower is 425 up from the original 330. I am the third owner and have owned the car since 1999. The car is very realiable and runs extremely strong. This car has won regional concours. Also Included are the original "Special Wishes" 15" BBS 3-piece wheels that are in perfect condition.
