This Camphor Laurel coffee table was amazing from the day it arrived. The grain patterns and chatoyance (cat's eye shimmer) were like no other piece of wood I have ever encountered. The slab was severely checked from the drying process and we filled all the vacancies with black dyed West epoxy. The resulting surface was just fantastic to see.

Construction Information
The single apron base was hand crafted from Ipe (Brazilian Walnut). The inside of the legs were carved out to accept the apron. The slab was held in place with figure eights to allow for seasonal movement in the wood.
